LIANA CAUZ
1931 - 2017

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Liana Cauz, our fellow Garden Club member and beloved friend.  Shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Liana passed away on July 12, 2017.

Liana was a delightful lady who loved the Garden Club; joining us in 1987. She was Treasurer in 2004-2005; co-chair (with Millicent Bishop) of the Member Garden Tour in 2008-2009. And for many years, 2009-2016, Liana was the Foothill College Scholarship Chair; she always developed a special rapport with each recipient. Liana also ran our annual “Garden Treasures” sale, benefiting the scholarship fund. She was also in charge of our Plant Give-Away.

Liana was special to each of us ; we will miss her so much. The Club will make a donation in Liana’s memory to the Sempervirens Fund - donations are used to purchase and preserve existing forests in our coastal areas as well as to plant new redwood trees.
